CEEC Strategic Plan 2025-2028

CEEC International has officially launched its Strategic Plan 2025–2028, outlining a clear, ambitious roadmap to accelerate the adoption of eco-efficient minerals and metals production practices across the global resources sector.

Developed through a series of workshops with CEEC’s Board the strategy sets out five interconnected pillars:
Influence & Impact, Partnering for Impact, Outcomes & Influence, Trusted Community & Industry Partners, and Communication.

At its core, the plan strengthens CEEC’s role as an independent, globally trusted organisation enabling measurable progress in energy efficiency, water stewardship, tailings management and technology adoption.

The Strategic Plan focuses on staged delivery across three years:

  • Year 1 – Launch & Priority Initiatives: completing major outputs such as the Neo-Marvin case study, updating CEEC’s tool suite, activating new partnerships and continuing delivery under the Global Water Initiative.
  • Year 2 – Expansion & Visibility: publishing roadmap documents from CEEC’s technical workshops, leading pilot projects like the Tailings Initiative and refreshing Board roles and partnerships.
  • Year 3 – Maturity & Legacy: integrating CEEC’s insights into global programs, deepening technical benchmarking, and strengthening long-term governance and sponsorship models.

A central feature of the strategy is the staged introduction of CEEC’s new Sponsor Impact Matrix, designed to strengthen alignment between sponsorship support and measurable industry outcomes, while re-engaging mining companies in CEEC’s mission.
