We are greatly saddened to hear of the recent passing of our esteemed colleague Dee Bradshaw, Emeritus Professor at the University of Cape Town (UCT), following a battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues at this sad time.

Shortly before her death, Dee set up the Dee Bradshaw and Friends International Travel Scholarship for UCT students who display academic merit and are registered for a postgraduate qualification in the minerals field. This lasting legacy will enable scholarship recipients to travel to an approved international institution to enhance their research and education capacity, skills and experience.
