In 2009, IBM released the report Envisioning the Future of Mining. The report has some interesting insights.
“The future of the mining enterprise is characterized in all aspects of the business, from improving people and leaders, to engaging new business models and processes, to employing new techniques in developing insight, knowledge and working remotely. Most of all, the mine of the future is smarter. It responds to change faster. It is agile and flexible,” IBM says.
