The International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC) 2022 will be a hybrid event held in Melbourne, Australia and online on August 21-25 2022. The call for abstracts closes on August 22nd, 2021, and you can submit your abstract here.
IMPC 2022 will explore themes such as sustainability, automation technologies and approaches, and processing improvements; meeting industry challenges such as balancing evolving automation and digitization technologies and extraction techniques for addressing grade reductions and ore variability.
Congress presentations will be divided into three broad streams: Industry Challenges, Advances in Mineral Processing and Future Operations. There are also several ways that work can be presented at IMPC 2022:
- Oral – Presenting in the conference technical program for 20 minutes.
- Poster session – Presenting from a prepared poster during breaks – this is a single-day opportunity aligning with the theme of the day’s technical content
- Rapid fire sessions – Similar to Oral presentations, Rapid Fire sessions are delivered during the technical program but limited to five-minute summaries of key points
- Workshop – Extended interactive sessions held prior to or following the conference
In light of the global challenges of COVID-19, presenters impacted by travel restrictions and unable to attend live in Melbourne have the opportunity to present via the online platform.
Abstracts that are accepted by the Conference Organising Committee will be subject to peer review. The selection criteria include relevance to the conference theme, accuracy and originality of ideas, significance of the contribution and quality of presentation.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and presented at conference technical sessions. All presenting authors are required to register, pay and attend the conference to present their abstracts.
Along with the August 22nd deadline for abstracts, other key dates for authors include draft paper submission on January 9th, 2022, and final paper submission on May 1st, 2022.
