CEEC shares insights from Mining Futures Executive Breakfast at PDAC 2026
Around PDAC 2026 in Toronto, CEEC International joined Agnico Eagle and the Global Mining Guidelines Group (GMG) to co-host the Mining Futures Executive Breakfast - an invitation-only executive roundtable for senior mining industry leaders. The breakfast was designed as an informal but focused forum to connect peers, share perspectives, and explore emerging priorities in innovation and sustainability across the sector.
The conversation was exactly what we had hoped for: candid, wide-ranging, and full of perspectives that need to continue to be shared across company lines. Discussions reinforced the importance of integrating water, energy, safety, technology and sustainability considerations earlier in mine and mill design and planning, when decisions can have the greatest impact on long-term performance and resilience.
The roundtable brought together senior representatives from across mining and related organisations, creating space for practical discussion on how the industry can better support more integrated and forward-looking project design. The summary captures a valuable cross-section of insights from that exchange and highlights why trusted forums for executive-level dialogue remain so important.
CEEC thanks Agnico Eagle and GMG for co-hosting this event and helping create the conditions for a thoughtful and constructive discussion.
