CEEC International Welcomes Dr Christopher Greet to the Board of Directors

CEEC International is pleased to announce that Dr Christopher Greet has joined its Board of Directors, bringing more than four decades of global minerals processing and metallurgical engineering experience to the organisation. Dr Greet has also been an active member of the CEEC community since July 2024, serving as a CEEC Advocate and contributing his technical insight to the organisation’s initiatives.

Chris is a metallurgical engineer with over 40 years of industrial experience spanning foundries and mineral processing operations worldwide. He currently serves as Principal Consultant at Mineralis Consultants Pty Ltd and has held senior technical and research leadership roles across industry, including more than 20 years with Magotteaux Australia, where he led teams investigating the impact of grinding media composition on pulp chemistry and downstream metallurgical performance.

Throughout his career, Chris has developed experimental methodologies adopted in plant trials globally and has played a key role in bridging laboratory research with practical plant outcomes, with particular expertise in flotation chemistry, comminution, and metallurgical optimisation. In addition to his industry leadership, he has maintained strong links with academia, serving as an Adjunct Associate Research Professor at the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide and mentoring postgraduate researchers while contributing industrial insight to research programs. He is also widely recognised for his technical contributions to the profession, including editing the reference handbook Flotation Plant Optimisation and authoring more than 80 journal and conference publications focused on applied metallurgical problem solving.

I’m honoured to join the CEEC Board at a time when the minerals industry is increasingly focused on improving efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance,” said Dr Greet. “I look forward to contributing to CEEC’s work in advancing practical, science-based solutions that deliver measurable outcomes for industry.”

Welcoming the appointment, CEEC Chair Marc Allen said Chris brings “a combination of deep technical expertise, global operational experience, and a strong track record of translating research into real-world impact,” adding that his insight into mineral processing, flotation chemistry, and plant optimisation “will be invaluable as CEEC continues to drive innovation and collaboration across the sector.”

Chris is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and currently serves as a Director of AusIMM, where he contributes to governance, strategy, and professional standards oversight.

His appointment further strengthens CEEC’s Board capability and reinforces the organisation’s commitment to connecting research, industry practice, and collaborative innovation to advance eco-efficient minerals processing.
