CEEC International Expands Executive Leadership to Support Growth

CEEC International (CEEC) is entering a new phase of strategic growth, supported by increased resourcing and expanded leadership capacity.

Following a landmark grant from the Grantham Foundation, CEEC has grown its team and progressed key initiatives under the Global Water Initiative. A new three-year strategy, shaped in consultation with the CEEC Board and industry partners, positions CEEC to drive stronger impact across water, tailings, energy, and emissions.

To support this evolution, the Executive President role will be expanded. Since June 2022, Janine Herzig has served in the role however as the scope of the position now exceeds the time Janine is able to commit, we will begin the search for a new appointee. We thank Janine for her valuable contributions, particularly in advancing the Global Water Initiative and strengthening CEEC’s network.

Janine will continue to be involved with CEEC in her capacity as a Member, and we are grateful for her ongoing support during this transition. CEEC will commence recruitment to identify a candidate who can lead the organisation into this next phase.

During the recruitment period, CEEC Director Philip Bangerter will step into an executive function to ensure continuity and momentum.

This update reflects CEEC’s commitment to strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and continued delivery of value to the global resources sector.
