Nine Australian METS companies participated in Austmine’s second Canada Mining Mission in October 2017, exploring opportunities in this well-established market.
The mission provided insights into the local mining landscape and opportunities arising in gold, nickel, oil sands, lithium and other base metal mines in the region.
The METS companies – Safescape, PumpEng, Mader International, Insitu Pacific, MICROMINE, Dingo, Haultrax, Clean Oil Services and Groundprobe – met with representatives from Barrick Gold, Vale, Hatch, Stantec, XPS Glencore, Wesdome, Nordmin and the Canadian Malartic Mine. They also visited the impressive NORCAT underground Centre, North American Lithium and the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation.
