Assess Comminution Efficiency – Join AusIMM Webinar 16 May

CEEC is pleased to share news of an upcoming webinar on 16 May focusing on comminution efficiency. This webinar will outline approaches to comminution efficiency and share practical examples and potential solutions to reduce your site’s energy intensity.

The AusIMM Metallurgical Society invites you to attend Assessing Comminution Energy Efficiency presented by Dr Grant Ballantyne GAusIMM, Research Fellow, Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre.

  • You will leave the webinar with a number of tools that you can use to assess the comminution energy efficiency of your operations and some examples of previous success stories.
  • Efficiency measures reviewed including international mining standard methodologies for assessing Bond Efficiency and Morrell Efficiency as well as Size Specific Energy Efficiency
  • Case studies will include preconcentration, equipment changes, circuit configurations, media changes and incremental improvements.
  • The webinar also discusses how you can participate in the free CEEC Energy Curve Program to benchmark your operation or consider design improvement options. Advances to accelerate the capabilities of these free tools are planned, to further help mine sites.

Based from the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre in Australia, Grant Ballantyne is a part of the University of Queensland's Sustainable Minerals Institute.

CEEC is pleased to have worked with Dr Grant Ballantyne who has been instrumental in research and development of the free benchmarking tools in the CEEC Energy Curve Program.

CEEC’s full workshops teach you how to undertake comminution efficiency benchmarking step by step through the CEEC Energy Curve program. These workshops are held from time to time by CEEC around the world. CEEC is currently advancing planning for potential workshops in South America, North America and Australia in 2017 to 2019, and additional workshops in other countries.
